Show Edwin 'Ted' Thrasher Obituaries Jess L. Bellon with family members was given by Kent Thrasher. LaVar Bateman gave the invocation and Leonard Kelly read the biographical sketch. A vocal solo "These Hands" was sung by Kent Thrasher accom-panied by Jo Thrasher. Bishop Carl Mellor was the speaker. An organ medley was played by Roberta Peterson. President Dale Burgess spoke the benediction and the dedicatory prayer at the Lehi City Cemetery was given by Cass Willes. Serving as pall-bearers were Blaine Thrasher, Dee Thrash-er, Kent Thrasher, Lee Dickerson, Ronald Willes and Robert Thrasher. The beautiful flowers were cared for and arranged by the Lehi 14th Ward Relief So-ciety. Marsh, Marilyn Turner, and Joan Healey, who sang "To a Child." They were accomapnied by Iris Bullock. A special children's chorus, made up of Primary children from Alpine, also sang. Ross Beck gave the benediction and the grave in the Alpine City Cemetery was dedicated by Rulon McDaniel. Casket bearers were grandfathers Arlin K. Bellon and Nyle J. Doyle. Honorary casket bearers were Chad A. Bellon, Scott W. Doyle and Lyle Doyle. Funeral services were conducted by Anderson and Sons Mortuary in American Fork. LEHI-- Edwin James "Ted" Thrasher, 92, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1982 in the Mountain View Hospital in Pay-so- He was born Jan. 20, 1890 in North Lou, Neb., to James Finley and Ernestine Dininger Thrasher. He married Adelaid Roberts, April 13, 1913 in Provo. She died June 24, 1967. He later married Florence Humphries in July of 1968. She died Feb. 27, 1976. He was a fruit farm-er, mechanic and car-penter and enjoyed baseball. Survivors include four sons and three daughters, Blaine R. Thrasher and Mrs. Cassel (Marie) Willes, both of Lehi; Dee Thrasher and Kent Thrasher, both of American Fork; Mrs. Leonard (Beth) Kelly and Mrs. Garth (Madge) Sheppard, both of Provo; Leo Thrasher, Yuma, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren; 18 9 great-grea- t grandchild-ren. Funeral services for Mr. Thrasher were held Nov. 8 in the Wing Mortuary Chapel with Bishop Carl Mellor o-fficiating. Great Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Preston Barratt of American Fork, Mrs. Esther Bateman of Alpine and Mrs. Lucille Mensendick of Phoenix, Arizona. Funeral Services were held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the American Fork 2nd Ward with Burial in the American Fork City Cemetery. Nola Louise Engh Nelson, 47, of San Pedro, California and formerly of Lindon, died Oct. 30, 1982 in an ac-cident. She was born Sept. 22, 1935 in Salt Lake City to Howard and Anna Fern Bush Engh. She married Rawlan "Tank" Nelson on August 6, 1955 in San Pedro, Calif. She was killed in-stantly when a cable snapped and part of a crane fell on a pickup truck in which she was sitting at San Pedro Harbor. - She attended schools in San Pedro, Califor-nia, Orem and Provo. The family moved to Lindon in 1970. She worked at Big 0 Tires and Miller Electric in Sait Lake1 , City and Camp Williams in Riverton. She returned to San Pedro one year ago. She was a member of the LDS Church and had served in the Relief Society. She was active inPTA. She was loved by many and will be sorely missed. She was young and beautiful and very much alive and we are crippled and dazed by her sudden death. She is survived by her husband, San Pedro, Calif. ; one son and three daughters, Kelly J. Nelson, Orem; Mrs. Kent (Sally) Johnson, Draper; Mrs. Kerry (Peggy) Hoglund, Lindon; Polly Nelson and Dan Moser (Polly did not change her name when she married Dan f Moser), Magna; four grandchildren; father, Howard Engh, Lindon; one brother and four sisters, Brian Engh, ' Fallbrook, Calif.; Mrs: Owen (Colleen) Stout, Orem; Mrs. Andrew ' (Norma) Shelline, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Wesley (Marlene) Carter, Edgemont; Loraine Engh, American Fork; many cousins, neices, nephews, aunts, uncles and good friends. Funeral services were held Nov. 5 at 11 a.m. in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel in Provo. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Arta Stoker Standifird - Arta Stoker Stand-ifird, 65, of 2744 Edge- - "wood Drive, Provo, died of a heart attack Thursday, Nov. 4, 1982 at Utah Valley Hos-pital. She was born May 13, 1917, in Manila, a daughter of Frank and " Grace Henrietta Luke Stoker. She married Z George Blaine Standi--fir- d on Dec. 20, 1940 in ' Salt Lake City, and the .marriage was later in the Salt - Lake LDS Temple. He f died Sept. 25, 1980. Mrs. Standifird her education in Z Idaho schools. After their marriage, they vlived in Salt Lake City, ;;then moved to Illinois. .They later moved back ;to Utah, living in "several communities. She was active in the LDS Church, Edge-mont Third Ward, was a Provo Temple worker and member of the Fine Arts Literary Club of Provo. Survivors include four sons, George Rich-ard Standifird, Orem; Vance Blaine Standi-fird, American Fork; Stephen Frank Standi-fird, Payson; Ronald J. Standifird, Highland; 17 grandchildren; four brothers and four sis-ters, Kay L. Stoker and June Olsen, both of Salt Lake City; Sheldon Stoker, Roberts, Idaho; John Q. Stoker, Dietrich, Idaho; Don B. Stoker, Pocatello; Mrs. Sterling (Hilda) Cor-nab- Provo; Mrs. Ed (Carol) Novas, Idaho Falls, and Mrs. Melvin (Joy) Empey, Sun Lake, Ariz. Funeral services were Monday in the Edgemont Third Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Springville Ever-green Cemetery.
