Show Activities planned at UTC for inauguration Preliminary arrangements arrang-ements are currently being made in anticipation an-ticipation of the inauguration of Utah Technical College at Provo's third president, Joseph Marvin Higbee, which will be held Friday, Nov. 19, on the Orem campus. Two days of activities are planned beginning with public tours of the Orem facility on Thursday, Nov. 18, from 9to 11 a.m. Tours will begin in the Student Center cafeteria following opening remarks by President Higbee. All tours will be guided by students from either the Student Council or the DECA organization on campus. Members of the press have been asked to attend a luncheon on Nov. 18 at noon, where the president will outline priorities for the future of the college and answer any questions. Press members will then be able to tour the campus during the afternoon. Inaugural con vocation ceremonies will begin with the traditional academic processional at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, on the Orem campus. Inaugural activities will conclude with a Grand Ball to be held that evening at 8 p.m. in the Orem Student Center. Dance band "Spectrum" will provide music for the evening and special President's Club Charter member awards will be presented during an intermission period at 8:30 p.m. |
