Angus and his wife, Dons Flogstead, are the parents of 3 sons and one daughter, Tami, age 16. Two of their sons live in San Diego. The Anguses moved here from San Diego about a year ago. Angus is a Nephi. The Kitcbs also moved here about a year ago from San Diego. Filch says he knew Fred Angus very well while living in San Diego and in fact, they attended the same ward. Filch has worked as a life insurance in-surance salesman and he also handled the financial affairs for a photographer in San Diego. The Fitchs have 7 children -- 5 live in California, a son, Robert, lives in Provo, and a daughter, Linda Before his ordination to bishop, he had been teaching the young adult gospel doctrine class. The new bishop served in the Bavarian mission from 1 963 to l!Mi5. His wife has been serving as the Education Counselor in Belief Society. First Counselor in the new bishopric will be K. Allan Zabel. Zabel, who originates from Fargo, North Dakota, is married to Nancy Johnson of Lakeview. They have 4 children -- Brett, 14, Shauna, 12, Rynele, 8 , and Karl Brigham, 3. By I.I.N I) A II AIUUS The Kith Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day-Saints was recently split to accomodate growing numbers. Out of the division a new ward was created - the l'Jth -bringing the total number of wards in the city to 19 and the total in the Manila Stake to seven. The new ward will begin its meetings starting August 1 at the chapel located at 700 East 500 North in Pleasant Grove. Meeting times are 2pm for Sacrament meeting, followed by Sunday retired building manager for a telephone company and was a Boy Scout committee chairman before the division. Sister Angus is a visiting teacher at this time. Warren W. Fitch will be the ward clerk when the new ward begins meeting. He is married to Dora P. Price, a former resident of 4: Howard, lives in Pleasant Grove. Fitch has been in charge of temple work in the 10th Ward. The 19th Ward financial clerk will be Darrell Bingham, a former resident of Ogden who has lived here for the last 4 years with his wife, Donna Victor, also of Ogden, and their 7 children -- They have lived in P.G. for about 13 years and Zabel was seventies' president for the 10th Ward before receiving this new call. He also is on the training staff for the Timpanogos Scouting District. Sister Johnson is currently Manila Stake Primary President. Zabel is a practicing lawyer in the legal section of the Department of Employment Em-ployment Security. Called to be 2nd counselor is Jack K. Angus. He and his wife, Becky Christensen are both from San Diego and have lived in Pleasant Grove for the last 4 years. They are the parents of 3 children - Ryan, 7, Kristi, 5, and Tommy, 3. Angus works as a representative for a sporting goods company and also has background in com- School and then Priesthood and Relief Society, with Primary running concurrent with the meetings following Sacrament. The meetings will end at 5pm.. Dr. Paul B. Richards has been called to preside over the newly-formed newly-formed ward. Bishop Richards is a dentist practicing in Orem and is married to the former Cathy Whitlock of Gunnison, Utah. Dr. Richards is originally from Fresno, California, Califor-nia, and the couple have lived with their children in Pleasant Grove for the past six years. Their children are Teresa, 18, Robert, 13, Mark, 11, Bryan, 9, Stephen, 6, and Michael, 4. Besides his dental practice, Bishop Richards is also part owner in a sod company. |
