Show Biggs Brothers Are Big On Track It's not often that three brothers get into high school together. But when three do and they all are on the same team, that's a unique situation. The Biggs brothers, Dan, Byron, and Leo, were members of this years Viking track team and each scored points in the Region Track meet. Dan, the senior, was second in the discus, both at Region and State. At Region, Dan had a throw just under the PGHS school record and was confident of a chance to break that record at State. Saturday's weather prevented the record attempt as the discus was contested in a steady downpour. Dan managed an excellent throw of 144 feet 6 inches to take the silver medal. He was a member of the 1981 Region Champion Wrestling team. Byron, the junior is the family sprinter and a member of the 400 meter relay team that earned points at Region. Byron is also an outstanding out-standing running back prospect on the Viking football team. Sophomore, Leo, earned points in the high jump and javelin during the season and placed in the Region javelin event. Leo played tackle on the sophomore football team that captured the Region Championship. Both the younger Biggs brothers have the job of equalling Dan's second place State performance. They could do it in the next two years. ; ; - ! : i ; . I ' .j ; . BIGGS TRACK TRIO- Dan, Bryon and Leo Biggs were members of the same PGHS track team this season.
