In Friday's walk over Carbon, Juslin Bone and Kevin Allridge combined for 4f points with Bryce Walker adding seven, to bury the Dinos, 73-5- Gordon Mathis had 21 for the visitors. On Saturday, the Vikes broke open a close game in the final minutes to down Bountiful 59-4- Top scorers for PG were Allridge with 20, Walker with 10, and Craig Swapp with eight. Bone neutralized the tall Braves inside by grabbing 1 1 rebounds. It appeared that all the coaches in the county were watching from the stands as the Vikes successfully at-tacked the Bountiful half court trap. PG's four corner passing game enabled the Vikes to push the margin of victory to 14 points. Jeff Jeppson, back up post man, hit a bucket at the buzzer ending the first half. Jeppson took a beautiful pass from Scott Robbins, hit the shot and on the way down the floor, he was at least 10 feet off of the hardwoods. Richard Mills came off the bench and sparked PG in the second half. Mills scored six points in the fourth quarter, and came up with a key steal when the game's outcome was still in doubt Allridge, who appeared to have an off night shooting, actually hit 9 of 18 from the field. The Vikes came through the non-leag-contests with a 9-- 1 record, but as Coach Allred commented in the locker room after the game, "Now we get the really tough teams." He was referring to tomorrow's home game against Timpview. The Thunderbirds have shown an average size squad that has above average quickness and many very talented shooters. Game time is 7:30 and a full house is expected in the Viking gym. Chris Kitchen hit 19 points and Dan Thomas had 14 to lead the JV to a 59-5- 4 win over Carbon. The Vikes trailed by four at the half but came back to win a close contest. ' ii " j i . , ' --" ... . - j f"Zj ' - '" " I L !V.;, ' ' j ' i 't , x ,, . v - . .. J 17 v.
