Show Tests Show Over-Fed Rats Wear Out Metabolism Sn a recent experiment by Edward Masoro, Ph. , of the University of Texas Science Center, rats owed to eat all they wanted died a full year oner than rats whose food intake was restricted. The experiment report said that they died not so jch because the controlled rats got fatter (which sy did), but because overeating had literally worn t their metabolism. In a release by Diet Center of Pleasant Grove it is stated that the rats that were allowed all they uld eat lost their ability to metabolize fats, and mnd up with age-related high cholesterol levels uch sooner in life than the restricted rats as a suit. Dr. Masoro said that they have found that food striction also delays loss in muscle mass and jscle function and it has been shown to postpone terioration of the immune system. |
