Show IPDlliee n&eponit Festival no holiday for PCPD Art Festival weekend kept the Park City Police Department hopping hop-ping with a raft of complaints on loud parties, lost children, parking problems and minors consuming alcohol. FourDUI arrests were made and a man was shot to death on Woodside Avenue (see story on page one). Police arrested Matt David Graves, 26, of Oakley on Aug. 5 for disorderly conduct and aggravated assault, according to the police blotter. The report states police officers witnessed Graves, with a knife, chasing an unidentified female near the Shadow Ridge condominiums. condomini-ums. He has been booked into the Summit County Jail in Coalville. On Aug. - 6, Ken Putnam of Kampco Construction Company, a Salt Lake Valley firm, reported the theft of a backhoe to police. According to that report, the backhoe was taken from the Silver Lake area. It is valued at $67,500. Robette Senn of Portland, Oregon told police on Aug. 5 someone had stolen a blue-and-purple pullover shirt from her Art Festival booth on Main Street. The shirt is valued at $95. Vandalism was reported to the police on Aug. 7 by Mike McComb. According to that report, sometime during the night of Aug. 6 what appeared to be dishwashing soap was poured into the gas tanks of three cars parked at McComb's residence on Lucky John Drive. The soap was also poured over the body of the cars. Barbara Hanks reported to police on Aug. 7 that one of the license plates on her 1984 Toyota truck had been stolen while it was parked at the Comstock condominiums. The plate is Utah ND 4549. A Christiansburg, Virginia, man. James H. Lamb, told police on Aug. 6 that his vehicle was broken into while parked at the underground parking at building 2 at Three Kings condominiums. Listed as missing is a fuzzbuster radar detector valued at $200. Police apprehended a Salt Lake man on Woodside Avenue on Aug. 6 after he had broken windows at 451 Main St. He was cited for criminal mischief. Robert Jones of Salt Lake reported to Park City police that on Aug. 5 his car was broken into while parked near the Dairy Queen in Prospector Square. Equipment and cash valued at $350 is missing. A 38-year-old Park City woman was arrested for DUI Aug. 7. According to the police blotter, officers approached a Porsche that was parked against a power pole. Inside the auto was the woman who had a noticeable odor of alcohol about her. She failed field sobriety and intoxylizer tests and was booked into County Jail. |
