And that construction activity was very heavy, $9.7 million worth, centered mostly in the multi-family housing area. A total of 86 permits were issued in July, for a total of 67 dwelling units. Fifty of those units were in the multi-family class, a total of nine permits. Their value was estimated at $6.5 million. The Stag Lodge had the largest single structure, a 13-plex. It also received permits for two three-plexes. three-plexes. The Queen Esther project received three permits one for a six-plex, the other two for four-plexes. four-plexes. An 11-plex was set to go at the Ontario project, while three-plexes three-plexes were permitted at the Ridge and the Pinnacle. The second largest grouping in last month's totals were duplexes, where seven permits were issued for 14 units. Those units, all at Sterlingwood and the Pinnacle, were valued at $1.7 million. In addition to actual unit construction, construc-tion, many permits were issued for footing and foundation work on Deer Valley projects. Of 36 permits issued under the heading of "other," the majority were for footings and foundations, said Dawn Jensen of the Planning Department. The valuation of the "other" category was $407,782.
