Show All-Tchaikovsky program ends Symphony series The Utah Symphony ends its 1984 Summer Pops Series with a boom on Aug. 10, 11 and 12 with an all-Tchaikovsky program conducted by Charles Ketcham. Appearing as soloist will be Utah Symphony Gina Bachauer International Medalist Jon Klibonoff. The Friday, Aug. 10 program starts at 8 p.m. at Symphony Hall. The Aug. 11 and 12 programs start at 5 p.m. at the Pavillion at Snowbird. Sponsor of the concert is State Savings and Loan Association. Foru of Tchaikovsky's best k nown and most popular works will be performed: Adante Cantabile, Marche Slave, Piano Concerto No. 1 and the 1812 Overture complete with cannon salvos. The 1812 Overture has become the theme song of the Symphony's all-Tchaikovsky program, and was written by the composer in celebration of the 1880 completion of a Moscow temple representing Russia's victory over Napoleon in 1812.
