Show 'County Gazette to Play Egyptian mandolin player Roland White and banjoist Alan Munde. Tickets for Country Gazette are $8 general admission and $6 for members of the Egyptian Theatre. Affectionately known as "America's Bluegrass Band" Country Gazette will appear for one night only on the stage of the Egyptian Theatre on Thursday Feb. 17 at 8 p.m. The well known Ogden group, the Pee Wee Pickers will be the warm-up act for this exciting group.. Recently the group has been under the auspices of the Mid-America Arts Alliance Alli-ance and has performed for groups throughout Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, Arkansas Arkan-sas and Oklahoma. Banjoist Alan Munde, founder of the Gazette stated, "We reallv enjoy these appearances because be-cause it gives us a chance to meet people of all different age groups. We spend a whole day in each place. So, in the morning we might play for an elementary school assembly, put on an afternoon after-noon show in a hospital or nursing home, or conduct a workshop at a local college. Then at night, we give a public concert for the whole town." The music of Country Gazette has been described as a style that combines traditional with progressive . bluegrass.
