Show Celebrities Arrive Here For Ski Team Fundraiser All the Osmonds will be on hand Thursday to open the Second Annual United States Ski Celebrity Open as it gets underway at the Resort. The event will run Thursday through Saturday on the Park City slopes. Some 45 major celebrities ranging from television and motion picture personalities to political figures will be in attendance at this year's event. Dallas star Linda Gray hael Vincent, Joan Van Ark, Morgan Brittany, song-writer Jimmy Webb, David Birney, John Havlicek, Ed Ames, LaVar Burton, Melan-ie Melan-ie Chartoff, Abby Dalton, Susan Howard, Steve Kanaly Tab Hunter, Connie Stevens, David Soul, Sarah Purcell, Billy Moses, Cindy Morgan, Johnny Lee and Charlene Tilton, just to name a few. The real sars of this event, however, are those members of the U.S. Ski Team who will be in attendance at the four-day salute. They will compete with other celebrity team members -jn the down-hill and grudge-match competitions. competi-tions. Many citizens of Park City, Salt Lake, Provo and surrounding communities will have an opportunity to see and participate with the celebrities and Ski Team members both on the hill with the team competition, as well as the many evening social events, for which tickets are still available. For those individuals not wishing to ski or socialize, public offerings are scheduled schedul-ed such as the opening ceremonies to be held Thursday, February 10 at the Park City Resort ice rink near the plaza. Olympic hopeful Terry Kubicka will perform to a beautifully choreographed choreograph-ed salute to the U.S. Ski Team along with other entertainment and pagentry before plaza guests. That evening, beginning promptly at 7:30 p.m., the traditional Torchlight Parade will feature Park City Ski Patrol members winding down the mountain as over |
