To play it safe while riding your bike, you should make sure it is equipped with some essential safety features. The braking system is the most important part of your bike. Learn how your brakes work and check them out before you get on your bike. Brakes are especially important in Park City's hilly terrain. Toe clips can keep your feet from slipping off the pedals. And they allow for higher speed and easier pedaling by permitting you to pull up as well as push down. Your head is most vulnerable to mishap and is the most essential part of your body to protect. Choose a helmet with a strong outside layer and a rigid but crushable foam inner layer. For night riding, remember that a front light and a rear reflector are required by law. You might want to consider these extra precautions: Wear colors that are visible , - aga ins t your surroundings . Use a rear-view mirror. A carrier for packages will keep your hands free.
