Show Zuspann is top golfer in Wasatch competition Under sunny skies and near-perfect near-perfect playing conditions, Park City's Ann Zuspann captured top honors in the Wasatch Ladies' Golf Association tournament, which drew 80 area golfers. Zuspann led the field in the A Flight gross competition July 17, followed by Virginia Ferguson of Roosevelt and Lorrain Phelps of Bountiful, who finished second and third, respectively. In A Flight net play, Barbara Steenburg of Vernal was first, while Jane Curran of Mountain Dell was second. Third place i belonged to Marilyn Turner of Spanish Oaks. Low-gross winner of the B 1 Flight was Isla Swain of Vernal. Julie Denver of Roosevelt was second while Velda Sadleir of Wasatch settled for third. A dozen golf balls were presented to several golfers as prizes for various contests. Jackie Morgan of Mountain Dell earned a dozen balls for the least putts, as did Gerry Buckalow of Vernal for the longest drive on the third hole. , Lorraine Phelps won the same prize for the longest tee-shot on the 12 th hole and Delores Rolf was awarded golf balls for being closest-to-the-hole on the eighth. Zuspann won a painting by Velda Sadleir of Midway in a raffle and a golf bag made by Zuspann was won by Debby Allen of Roosfvelt.- |
