Show Uinta campgrounds dry up Water supplies in three Uinta Mountains campgrounds will be temporarily shut off during the coming weeks while a new water system is completed at Marsh Lake. According to Wasatch-Cache District Ranger Rod Howard, campers intending to use the Bridger Lake, State Line and Marsh Lake campgrounds on the north slope of the Uintas during the next several weeks should bring water supplies. The temporary loss of water there is due to the construction of the final stages of a new water system for the Marsh Lake campground. Previously, the Marsh Lake area, which has 34 campsites, had no fresh water supply. Howard said a 10,000-gallon water tank will serve the campgrounds during the construction period. He warned campers, however, that the supply may not last. The Marsh Lake is 30 miles south of Mountain View, Wyo. in the East Fork of the Smith's Fork drainage. |
