Show The Park City Arts Council Artistic Ambassadors Visit the County Last January, the Park City Arts Council was granted funding for the proposed Park City Artists Ambassadors' Program. The program's goals, according to Arts Council President, . Susan Jarman, are "to send Park City artists to our neighbors instead of expecting expect-ing them to come to us." Through the program, which would serve as an introduction to the cultural resources available in Park City, Ms. Jarman hopes the rest of the county 'will become more involved with the Kimball Art Center, the Park Players, The Inter-mountain Inter-mountain Actors Ensemble and the Park City Recreation Department. The P.C. Arts Council has received $1,500 to implement imple-ment the Ambassadors' project pro-ject from the Utah Arts Council and from the National Na-tional Endowment for The Arts. Initially eight Park City artists have agreed to participate. parti-cipate. Aysha Quinn will offer video workshops. Marianne Cone will teach watercoloring. Don Gomes and the Park Players will conduct creative drama workshops. Sculptor Judy Summer will be available to teach metal work and Steve Lloyd will conduct workshops in mixed media. John Sturgeon Stur-geon will also work with people interested in video and Sue Jarman will teach dance. The Ambassadors have already scheduled workshops work-shops at the Wasatch Activities Activi-ties Center in Midway and will be available to visit any group in Summit or Wasatch County. Jarman added that both the Park Players and the Intermountain Actors Ensemble have expressed an interest in taking their productions out - of - town when possible.
