Show Bus Policy Adopted by School Board The School Board has adopted a new policy governing misconducton Park City school buses. The policy was adopted to insure every student riding a Park City School District bus is provided the safest ride possible. No student will be allowed to conduct himselfherself in any way which might endanger another person on the bus. Disciplinary Procedures On the first report of misconduct, the bus driver will notify the school principal in writing on the appropriate form (attached and made part of this policy) of any student misconduct. The principal will suspend the offending student from riding on the school bus until a meeting can be held with the parent. The principal will hold such meeting with the parent, the chi ld, the Director of Maintenance & Operations and the school bus driver when possible. The parent and child will sign that they understand the conditions for regaining bus privileges for the student and a copy will be placed in a file in the principal's office and the district office. On the second report of misconduct on a school bus, on the official forms of the district, the principal will withdraw bus privileges .until the parent and child can meet with the Director of Maintenance & Operations and the Superintendent of Schools. The Superintendent may withdraw bus privileges either temporarily or a period of time not exceeding the remainder of the school year. The supervisor, under all circumstances, will ate nd conferences on all disciplinary problems relating to school transportation. The above procedures do not preclude a bus driver from taking appropriate action with a student to maintain discipline on the bus. |
