Show Linseed Vandal Attacks Residence On August 21 Marit Glenne reported that most of her clothing, a Ioveseat and matching chairs had been sprayed with linseed oil by an unknown intruder. Damage to Glenne's personal belongings ranges upward of $6,000. Bike Disappears from Park A bicycle valued at $400 was taken from city park August 18. The bike was owned by Sean McAllister. Marijuana Plants Ripped Up Officer Carry Yates seized marijuana plants growing outside a Marsac Avenue residence August 15. Yates said he noticed the plants once before but when he went to confiscate the controlled weed the. plants were gone. Yates said when they reappeared, he lost no time in pulling them up. The haul constituted 6 plants around 2 ft. and 8 that were "much smaller". Purse Vanishes on Links Faith Pappacostas of Murray, Utah, discovered her purse mising on the 17th hole of the Park City Golf Course. $50 in cash and various credit cards were lost along with the bag. Key Snatcher Draws Charges Clemment O. St. Laurant was arrested August 24 for public - intoxication after harassing a waitress at the Poison Creek Club. Officers were called to the club by the manager who said the suspect was giving a waitress a "hard time". Upon arrival officers learned St. Laurant had taken the girl's keys and would not return them. Good Deed Goes Awry A kindly favor will wind up costing the PCPD $200 to replace a plate glass door at Main Street's Wasatch Trading Company. Officers Rick Clayton and Cliff Koker were helping an intoxicated individual back to his apartment August 22 when Koker tripped and fell through the glass door. The officers were physically carrying the suspect when the accident occurred. Marsac Ave. Burglary " Rusty Dassing advised police August 18 of a burglary at his 226 Marsac Avenue residence. Dassing said he left early for work that day and was sure all doors were' secure. When returned, he found the side door open and cash and other personal belongings missing. Snowflower Burglary Reported J.H. Nemlaha reported a burglary at his Snowflower Condominium August 13. Nemlaha said his unit had been broken into and $85 worth of personal belongings had disappeared. Stolen Purse Recovered in Trash Can Roselyn Christianson of Layton, Utah, reported her purse was stolen from her car at the resort lot August 22. The purse was later found in a trash can at 1-80 and Emmigration Canyon. The money was gone but all other items were found with the purse. Bulldozer Damages Fence Lola Wheelwright said her fence at 901 Empire Avenue was damaged by a bulldozer August 21. Damage to the fence reportedly totaled $500. More Purses Missing from Vehicles Darlene Gould of Salt Lake told police officers two purses were taken from her car at the resort lot August 22. The bags contained $200 in cash 'plus assorted other personal items. Ski Theft of the Week On August 25, Tim Mersten reported the theft of two pairs of skiis from his garage in Prospector Square. The skiis were valued at nearly $500. Homestake Condo Violated John Tinklebaugh said his Homestake unit was broken into August 15. Entry was apparently gained by prying open a kitchen window. The burglars took tools, damaged walls, and for luck, broke a mirror. Wall Art Missing from Home John H. Wilson of Salt Lake reported his Park City home had been broken into recently and $50 worth of wall art taken. Thieves Eat High on the Veal Two men posing as refrigerator repairmen entered Adolph's restaurant at the golf course and stole around $150 worth of choice filets and veal cutlets. Police are searching for suspects. Timberhaus Window Smashed Matt Alvarez, owner of the Timberhaus, reported a broken window August 25. The value of the window thought to have been broken by vandals is $80. Mt. Realty Window Gets it Too Craig Masters reported a broken window at the Mt. Realty building he owns on Park Avenue.
