Show townscape costs submitted Faced with a "steep" cost estimate for a proposed "Townscape" city-wide parks, recreation and landscaping study, the city council last week authorized City Manager Wayne Matthews and Treasurer Bruce Decker to go over the proposal and come up with possible ways of reducing the cost. Local landscape architect Jerry Perrine and two west coast associates presented a proposal for the "Townscape" two weeks ago. Their cost estimate, submitted last week, sets a price range of between $35,000 and $50,000 for the study. The council suggested that some of the work can be done by local engineers who have volunteered their time. |
