The upholstery class has been scheduled and rescheduled due to unforeseen happenings, but hopefully this date will hold and classes will begin on November 2. Have your chair or piece of furniture stripped down to the wood, this will get you off to a good start. Bring a hammer, staple gun, screwdriver, scissors etc., if you have them. If you missed the 4-H project fair last Thursday you missed quite a lot as there were many demonstrations, demon-strations, photography, aerospace, aero-space, rocks and minerals, one on one basketball and cookie baking. This just goes to show 4-H ain't all cows and cookin, there are many projects to explore. Projects such as Wheels, horses, knitting, sewing, gardening, soil science, homemaking, dogs, small pets, gun safety, snowmobiling, bicycling, bi-cycling, hobbies, you name it and 4-H has it. Get involved join 4-H now, it is a year round organization now. Park City and environs were never more beautiful than during our most recent visit, the last ten days of September. Aspens on Crescent Ridge, oaks and maples in Wasatch State Park, blue skies and great clouds over East Canyon Lake, snow flecks on Mt. Timpanogas above Alpine Drive and red sumacs in Lamb's Canyon all contributed to the glory of autumn in and around our favorite, Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer recreation center. In addition to the great surge of building and merchandising activity on Main Street and in all sections of the city, in preparation for another great skiing season, we enjoyed a glimpse of the Sun Classic filming of Park City scenes for "Guardian of the Forest". We were entranced by the beauty of the costuming and participants in the film and shot a still of some of the most attractive, we are sure you can identify the charming film players. Enclosed a copy of the picture. Francis and Barbara Brunner are from Los Angeles and the parents of Robert (Bob) Brunner. Bob is well known by many as he has a home here and does the musical arrangements for the Walt Disney pictures. I thought the letter was nice and really should be printed even though the picture is in color may not be used. The picture was of the ladies in the show and the three Parkites were Phyllis Offeret, Lynn Turner and Lynn Maxfeild. It is nice to get letters |
