Show POPULATION 'OP . OGDEN IN ISSUE Brought Up In the Condemnation Suit, to the Amusement of Court and Lawyers Case of City Vs. Ralph Guthrie Before Judge Lewis Other Condemnation Suits Are Postponed, At the conclusion of the case of tho City against Carl Sorenson yesterday, Judge Lewis excused all the jurymen from service until next Monday piorn-ing, piorn-ing, it being understood that none of tho other condemnation suits would le heard before that time, and perhaps, per-haps, not until the close of the year. It is also stated in Mr. Guthrie's answer that some damage to fixtures which he had placed in tho building for the proper handling of his business, had accrued through the tearing down process entered en-tered into "by the city in the opening of the avenue. Mr. Guthrie testified that he was conducting a stock brokerage busl-nes busl-nes in tho building owned by the Ogden Trust & Development company, com-pany, of which company Fred J. Kle-gel Kle-gel is president, and that his lease would not expire until Maji 1, 19H. For his particular business, he considered con-sidered the lease worth .?200 a month from tho time he was compelled to vacate. Mr. Willis, attorney for the city, understood Mr. Guthrie to say that Ogden's population is 35. 000 and he asked him if he did not know it to be a fact that the census report gave Ogden a oppulation of only about 2G,00, whereupon Judge Henderson, attorney for Guthrie, remarked re-marked that no census report of Ogden.
