United States Senator La Fayette Young, appointed ap-pointed by Governor Carroll to serve until the coming general assembly, formally announced today that he was a candidate before the legislature to fill tho unexpired term of the late Sen aior Dolliver, which terminates March 4.. 1913. The senator makes it plain that ho in under no pledge to Govtrnor Carroll Car-roll not to be a candidate now nor for the term beginning March 4, 1013. Senator Young states his platform as IoIIowb: "As I have heretofore announced, 1 shall attempt to be a builder rather than a critic or a destroyer Some of the best reforms can bo effected b constructive rather than c-estructivc work.
