Show and Mena M McQnarrie of the Primary Pri-mary associations gave reports of their respective organizations. Elder Whitney spoke upon the first principles princi-ples of the gospel, tho necessity of spiritual food, and etc Elder Wells also spoke upon the tlrst principles of the gospel and the uecesalty of prayer. The work done by the Ogden taber nacle choir, organist and solol-ts was of a very hk-h order and was much appreciated. The house was entirely flll-1 during dur-ing the afternoon meeting.. President Lewis Shnrtllff welcomed ; the Saints to the conference, gave some illustrations of the early days of the church and thanked the stake and ward officers and Saints In gen- e-.al for their support and the choir for the splendid so:igd rendered. Superintendent Hrlghnm M. God-: dard. of stake Sunday schools, assistant assist-ant superintendent of Y. I- M. I. A., Amelia Fly-are and Assistant Superintendent Super-intendent Earl Pardoe of tho Y. M. M. I. A., gave brief reports of the work in their respective departments. The general authorities of the church and the local authorities of the stake were presented and unanimously unanimous-ly sustained. Elder Whitney spoke at some length upon the subject of "Mush, Science and Poetry,' as found in the principles princi-ples of the Church of Jesus Christ of: the Latter Day Saln's. Several pleasing numbers were given giv-en by the choir and soloists. The' conjoint Young Men's and Young Ladies' Mutual Improvement association conference was bold at 1:?,. Elder Rulon S. Wells being tho principal speaker. j CONFERENCE OF WEBER STAKE The Weber Stake quarterly confer-ence confer-ence was held Sunday, in the tabernacle, taber-nacle, sessions being held at lu a m, and 2 p. in. Elders Orson F. Whitney of the council of the Twelve, and Rulon S. Wells, of the first seven presidents of the Seventies, wore visitors from Salt Lake City. During the morning session Counselors Coun-selors Charb s F. Middle-ton and John Watson of the stake presidency reported re-ported the condition of the stake Superintendent Su-perintendent Charles II.
