OCR Text	Show EDISON CALLED ON TO KILL MOSQUITO Orange, N, J.. Aug. 30. Several residents res-idents of New Jersey have sent Thomas A. Edison a petition urging him to turn his inventive, genius against the Jersev mosquito, the ravages rav-ages of which, they say. this summer have been the mo.st serious in many years. "I am never bothered bv the mosquitoes," mos-quitoes," Mr. Edison told some of his neighbors when the subject was brought up. You see. I am Just deaf enough so that 1 can't bear them coming. com-ing. I think their hum must be worse than their bite, for everybody growls when ever a mosquito hums." Mr Edison has made no formal reply re-ply to the petitioners.
