Show 10008 CROSS MAN SAYS HEWAS ROBBED Salt Lake City, Jan. 16. M. O. Parrlsb of Woods Cross reported re-ported to the public Saturday even-lug even-lug that he had his pockets picked of a pockethook containing a $10 bill and 15 cents while heh ad been strud-Ing strud-Ing in a crowd listening to an auciion-trr auciion-trr in a store on East Second South street, between Main and State streets. As soon as ho discovered his loss he called the attention of Patrolman Eddy to two men near whom ho. had been '.standing, and Eddy took the men to tho police station. Lieutenant Shnnnon took the men aside Individually and put them through, a thorough examination regarding re-garding their deportment while they had been listening to the aucioneer. Each man, when examined, told a srlaightforward story and gave prominent persons as rt ferences, who when communicated with gave the men good reputations They were discharged from custody, and Chief of Detects cs Georgo Sheets detailed a number of plain clothes men to look Into the case, with a view of arresting the pickpockets, who are believed by the police to be strangers In the city, and who have lately he-guu he-guu their operations. |
