Show WATER FROM ARTESIAN WELL FINE FLOW OBTAINED AT THE SUGAR FACTORY. Ample Supply of Water For Lawns-Oregon Lawns-Oregon Factory May Not Be Moved to Ogden. A fine flow of artesian water has been struck at the Ogden sugar factory fac-tory at a depth of about 500 feet. The eusrar comnanv has been snendlncr considerable money of late in V-au-tlfylug the grounds about the factory and a fine lawn has been laid out along the north side which adds much to the attractiveness of the place. The water from the new well will be used for sprinkling purposes on tho lawns and also for the use of the occupants of the six cottages whicn recently havo been erected adjoining the factory. Osmosing is still going on at the plant and there Is yet a considerable quantity of syrup to be treated. As soon as tho osmose campaign is finished, fin-ished, the annual cleanlngup will be instituted about the works in wnlcli the machinery, and in fact, everything from one end of the. plant to the oth- or will receive careful overhauling for the coming season. There Is a prospect that tho Lo Grande factory will not be moved from the Oregon town to Ogden. An irrigation irri-gation enterprise promises to open a great acreage to sugar beet culture. |
