Show OLD COOPER HOMESTEAD IS BOUGHT BY GRAND-DAUGHTERS New York. May 21. The old homestead home-stead of Peter Cooper, Now York's great philanthropist, which originally stood on the present sito of Cooper I Union, Fourth avenue and the Bow-I Bow-I ery, has been purchased Ty the Misses Hewitt, grand-daughters of Mr. Cooper and will be moved to the b-j b-j '.ate, Ringwood Manor, near Tuxedo, whore, it will bo restored to the condition con-dition it was In during tho time It was occupied by Mr. Cooper "and his bride. Since 1S53, when Cooper Union was built, the old homestead has stood iat Twenty-eighth street and Fourth avenue where with a modern store front It has been occupied for the last fifteen years as a restaurant.
