Show SITE FOR FISH HATCHERY HAS BEEHJJECIDED UPON State Fish Commissioner Chambers yesterday decided upon the site for the state fish hatchery in Utah county. coun-ty. Spring creek, a point between Provo and Springville, is the chosen spot.' Work will be begun immediately immedi-ately and it Is expected to be completed com-pleted within thirty days. The site was donated to Ihe state by the residents resi-dents of Utah county. Spring Creek was the point at which the first hatchery in this stale was located lo-cated some time -ago. It was under private management at the time and a species of the carp family was the fish cultivated. Thogroprletor met with, great success until a flood of the creek washed his plant away, sweeping the fish and spawn into Utah lake. The state hatchery will stock ihe creek wllh trout and hatch the spawn in the plant to be erected there i |
