Show RECEPTION GIVEN IN OGDEN EL MONTE COMMANDERY NUM BER TWO OF OGDEN Entertain Visiting Knights Templar at Masonic Temple In Honor of Deputy Grand Master. Tho El Monte Commandery No. Knights Templar of Ogden, made a splendid showing la6t olght In it reception re-ception tendered the deputy grant master of the Grand Encampment or Knights Templar of the United States. The local organization met the visiting visit-ing knight6 at the depot at 7:20 in tho evening, headed by the Auditorium band. The visiting knights from Salt Lake and omer southern points in 1 Utah, arrived in the city In a spec'ai train of four coaches, th visitors troi.i other points coming to the city on regular trains. The visiting knights were from Pocatello, Idaho, Commandery; Com-mandery; the Evanstou Commandery of Evanston, Wyoming, the Malta Commandery of Park City, and the Utah Commandery of Salt Laky?, Utan, making In all a company of plumed knights of about one hundred. The visitors, together with the home knights, formed In line of marc.'i at the depot and, accompanied by tho Ogden band and Held'a band of Salt Lake, marched In splendid form along Twenty-fifth street to Washington avenue, ave-nue, thence north to Twenty-fourth street, from which point they countermarched counter-marched to the Masonic Temple on Washington avenue, between Twenty-fifth Twenty-fifth and Twenty-sixth streets, where the balance of the evening was spent In review, banqueting and other social so-cial recreation. The parado was. an imposing one, the knights garbed in their splendid uniforms, the bands ot music, picturesquely uniformed and discoursing sweet strains or music and the street elaborately festooned witu electric HghtB, casting a halo of splendor splen-dor over tho demonstration that is rarely equalled- i The line of march from tho depot was as follows; Sir F. The reception at the Masonic Temple, Tem-ple, after the parade, was most elaborate elabo-rate and entertaining, It consisting of a splendid banquet and a musical program of exceptionally nno merit, arranged and given by Mrs. F. N. Hess. At. a few minutes before 1 o'clock this morning, the visiting knights, headed by tho Salt Lake band, marched to the depot, where they boarded the train for Salt Lake, aif expressing themsolvcs as having had a royal good time last evening with the local knights. |
