WOMEN PROTEST AGAINST TARIFF ON COTTON GLOVES Chicago, March 23. Seventeen local lo-cal women's clubs, refuting the doctrine doc-trine of politicians that "women cannot can-not understand the tariff," have adopted adopt-ed . resolutions inaugurating a. nationwide nation-wide protost against an Increase upon necessaries in every American home, with emphasis upon cotton gloves and hosiery. Copies of the resolution will be forwarded for-warded to Washington and will also be placed before the coming meeting of the council of the National Federation Federa-tion of Women's clubs at San Antonio, Texas, and before the Illinois State and County Federation of Women's clubs.
