Sixth Floor Second National Dank P.ldtf., Cincinnati, Ohio Brother Urand president: We feel It our duty to express to you the sentiment sen-timent of ogden lodge No. 641 and Wasatch l'dK- MO 2174, relative to the recent drive mad against us by certain railroad officials of the coun-try, coun-try, Therefore! we wish to submit to you a set of resolutions passed by both lodg-s, as follows: Whereas, Wo, as railroad employes of the varlOttS railroads at Ogden. Km-! ployes, sre aware that certain action is I lelnK taken to lower our present wage yc:ilc; and, Whereas; to date, we have not no-I no-I tlced any sharp decline In living cost3 that would materially justify a de- creuse In wages. We can, however, j purchase clothing of Inferior quality at a lower rate, but, should b: lower, on aci ount of the small quantity of wool contained therein; and the makers mak-ers making a very large margin mi their output Also, many of us have not overcome our Indebtedness that I accumulated while wc wore at the I mercy of the profiteers; and, ! Whereas, We fee that such action Is entirely Inconsistent and should be I given a thorough Investigation before i any action should be taken, which sTOOld lessen tho efficiency of employes employ-es and create larger dividends for 1 some who do not produce; and. We have indorsed gov-j gov-j ernment control of the railroads by j government officials, rather than gov- I erhment control and private ownership I officials! and, i Whereas, We believe that should any reduction in wages be granted.
