Show Leaves Suitcase Behind, Gets Off Train and Meets With Trying Experience Jamcp R. Burton, S5 ycara old, traveling from Oakland. Cal., to Wisconsin, Wis-consin, who yesterday lost and recovered re-covered a sultcaso containing $300 In cash, two checks amounting to $500 and his certificate of deposit amounting amount-ing to $8,000 on west coast banks, continued his journey from Ogdon today. Burton arrived in Ogden on train No. 20 last evening. In the confusion of changing trains, he misplaced his suitcase. The missing bag was turned over to the depot master for safe keeping. After getting about 7 miles frOm Ogdon. Burton it is claimed was cither put off or Jumped off the east bound train, and started for Ogden. This occurred shortly after 7 o'clock. At 10:35 o'clock, G. E. Mitchell, a railroad rail-road employe, who was returning to his homo in Riverdalc, found Burton at the Rivordalo road. Burton said ho had fallen through the ties that .crossed tho mill raco, about a mile south of Rivordale. Ills face and 'arms wero cut and scratched and his logs wero bruised. A passing auto was summoned and Burton was removed to tho Union Depot where ho recovered his grip. Ho had $400 on his person when he arrived at tho depot, in addition to the money In his grip. |
