Show SupL Hinckley Talks . on New Social Service Supt. E. S. Hinckley, oF the State Industrial school, who attended the national convention held at New Orleans, Or-leans, gave an interesting talk on the convention and its most prominent features fea-tures Thursday afternoon to the members mem-bers of the various women's clubs of tho city. The meeting was held under the auspices of tho Martha, society. Mr. Hinckley spoke of the need of the cooperation co-operation between the teachers and the school and how tho children's welfare should be taken seriously. He stated that all conditions which wo.uld enable the child to live better, learn and grow to the highest standard of life, should be adopted, and that the health of the child should bo well studied. SupL Hinckley also gave an outline of the general work of the social, workers work-ers through the United States and how they were bringing to public notice many things which aro of advantage. Miss Mary Fisher entertained with a violin solo, and W. H. Manning of the Weber Normal college, sang. nn |
