I Mr. Emmett reports that he has al-. al-. ready obtained a promise for an appropriation ap-propriation of $10,000 per year for the malntcnanco of tho Bear river bay areas, which In Itself will give some Idea as to the magnitude of the plan. Mr. Emmett, In hla letter, stated that ho had experienced considerable difficulty in having the lands set aside for tho purpose of a game preserve, tho concensus of opinion of those who had gone into tho matter thoroughly, being that tho lands should be dovot-cd dovot-cd to agricultural purposes.
