Show Scowcrofl Concern Increases Capital Amendment to articles of incorporation incor-poration of John Scowcroft & Sons' company has been filed with the county clerk, increasing the capital from $1,000,000 to $2,500,000. with shares of the par value of $100 each. The affidavit of the company was j signed by Joseph Scowcroft, president, presi-dent, and Willard Scowcroft, secretary secre-tary and treasurer. According to a statement made by Mr. Scowcroft, the increase in capital stock was made for the purpose of handling the growth of the business and the branching out of the com-pany com-pany into the tea, coffee and spice business, as well as the enlargement enlarge-ment of the plant for the manufacture of clothes for workmen. In the new daylight factory the company employs em-ploys 200 women and girls in the manufcature of clothes and underwear. under-wear. President Scowcroft said the increased stock was taken by members mem-bers of the firms and its employes. |
