Show f ' GARLAND SOCIETY 4 ; 1? GARLAND, May 15. Mrs. Ephralm Coombs has returned from Payson, where she has been the guest of her daughter, Mrs. Wallace Edwards, for tho past few days. Miss Lucilo Owens, who has been the guest of her sister, Mrs. R. T. Shaw, returned to her homo in Logan last Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Jensen and children chil-dren of Salt Lake, who have been visiting at tho homo of Dr. and Mrs. T. W. Innes, roturned to their home last Tuesday. Mnf, Hauck of Montpelior is tho guest of her daughter, Mrs. Arthur Wlxom. Mrs. A. Johnson of Brlgham spent last Sunday and Monday at tho homo of Mrs. E. V. Schneider. The Ladies' Self Culture club onter-tainod onter-tainod thejr friends at a May day party, par-ty, Saturday, May 1, at the Palace hall. Tho party was well attended. Punch was served during the afternoon. after-noon. Mrs. Ezra Jonsen and baby left for Farmlngton to visit at tho home of her parents. Sho was also accompanied accom-panied by her sister, Mrs. Stayner of Sllvorton, Oregon, who haB been the guest of Mrs, Jensen for the past month. Shumway returned Sunday evening from Brigham, where he spent a few days attending to busi ness. i m One wedding of the week of great Interest to both Ogden and Salt Lake residents was that of Miss Mariano Browning of Ogden and John C. Howard How-ard of Salt Lake, which took place at tho home of the bride's parents. Postmaster Post-master and Mrs. George E. Browning, 2723 Washington avenue. The bride Is a popular young lady of Ogden and Is woll known In - musical circles, claiming distinction as a charming vocalist of exceptional ability. Mr. Howard Is a prominent business man of the capital city. President John Watson of the Weber stako performed tho wedding ceremony. The bride was attractively dressed in a gown of blue baronet satin and carried a bouquet bou-quet of delicately shaded pink rosebuds. rose-buds. Only members of the Immediate Immedi-ate family wero present. The Browning Brown-ing homo was decorated elaborately for tho occasion with pink roses and snapdragons. After tho wedding ceremony cere-mony a breakfast was served at Hermitage Her-mitage hotel In Ogden canyon. Spring flowers wore used for the decorations. Tho young couple departed early Wednesday aftornoon for the east, whore they will visit New York, Washington, D. G, Chicago and Denver. Den-ver. On their return from their honeymoon hon-eymoon trip, Mr. and Mrs. Howard will bo at home at Red Butte place, Yale avenue, Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Harry T.
