Show IAS U PASSES TESTS Only Three of the Weber County Samples Fail to Meet Requirements The first reports from tests of milk which have been obtained from samples sam-ples gathered from dairies in Weber county in a campaign which is now going on with a vlow of raising the standard of milk products here, wcro received yesterday morning from Saltj Lake by John Felt, city milk inspector. Twelve samples from Weber county dairies were submitted for the first test and reports show that but three j of them failed to reach the required standard. - One sample fell below the .mark as to butter fat contents, tho required standard being 3.9 pounds oT. fats per lOO pounds of milk. The sample showed show-ed 5.2 pounds in the test. Other samples sam-ples wont as high as 6.2 pounds in the tests. Two dairies failed to reach tho required re-quired mark in food solids, the stan- Iflard being 12.00 One sample reached 11.63 and the other 11.78. Small amounts of sand and dirt was reported found in some of the samples and efforts will bo immediately mado to eliminate this by the carrying on of a campaign of education among the dairymen. Iino samples of the twelve submitted submit-ted passed all tests and set high marks fpr quality. - Officials in charge of the Weber county campaign expressed themselves them-selves as well pleased with tho first tests and declared that the Initial Showing was exceptionally good. They Svlll now instruct the dairymen who fell down in tho lasts In bringing their product up to standard.
