Show Dr. Condon Receives Word I From National Geographic I Society I 1 Dr. A. S. Condon yesterday an- H nounced ho had received a letter H from Georgo McGuire, secretary of M tho national geographic society, in ') which announcement was mado that the official name of tho peak directly HE east of the city Is Mount Ogden. fi Thus ends a battle which has been H waged for many months and .'awhich H much correspondence paper waa- used H to convince the powers that bo that H Observatory peak should be renamed H Mount Ogden. ' H "ll h-as a long and hard fight," Dr. . " H Condon said, "but now It has been V settled and .Mount Ogden Is tho offi- JM cial name. They told us that tho I name could not be changed, that It H was registered as Observatory peak H in official documents and upon offi- cial maps. But wo persisted and tho I board held anothor meeting, and at this meeting the namo was changed." I Dr. Condon has led the fight to have the mountain peak named for I Ogden and he has been backed up I by many citizons, including Warren L. Wattis, president of tho Weber club, and by O J.
