Show Speakers Will Attend Meet-, Meet-, ings in Drive for New Members Ogden's big "push" for an Increased In-creased membership in the American Ameri-can legion will begin Tuesday morning. morn-ing. Speakers will attend many meetings held by civic and fraternal organizations during the five days of the drivo and will outline ' the alms and purposes of the legion and urge ex-servloo men to join the ranks. Tho local campaign will be I conducted under the direction of J Ray Ward. The drive to be carried on here Is a part of the movement in all parts of' the country on these dates to double the present membership in the American legion. Special effort will be made to gain members in Utah In order that a large delegation delega-tion may attend the second annual convention which will bo held in Ogdcn May 31. June 1. and 2. Decoration Day The largest Decoration Day celebration cele-bration ever held in Ogdcn will be one of the features of tho convention and tho graves of soldiers who died while in tho service, will bo decorated. deco-rated. Beside the 600 legion dole-gates dole-gates and members who attend the convention, G. A. R. veterans, Spanish-American war veterans and the Boj' Scouts will participate In the Decoration Day colebratlon. Plans have been .made for the decoration of streets, stores and pub-Hc pub-Hc buildings for the convention and the business man of the city havo been asked to co-operate.
