Show Ogden Man Is Named in Alleged Al-leged Conspiracy to Speculate Specu-late in Sweet Product Charging that certain citizens of Richfield conspired with citizens of Ogden and Salt Lake to hoard sugar for the purpose of speculation, a complaint com-plaint libeling' a carload of sugar was prepared yesterday In Salt Lako by United States District Atorncy Isaac Blair Evans. The car was lator seized in tho Salt Lako railroad yards by Sam Dorrlty, United States deputy marshal. It was billed for shipment to Omaha and contained 50,000 pounds, according to the officers. The complaint charges that J. W. Niel of Ogden, J. M. Peterson of Richfield Rich-field and H. S. Anderson of Salt Lake handled tho sugar transaction. It was charged that the sugar was accumulated accumu-lated In Richfield and most of it purchased pur-chased at 11 cents a pound. It is further fur-ther alleged by the officials that It was sold to Mr. Niel for 24 cents and was then to be shipped to Omaha, whero it would probably bring 30 cents a, pound. - The sugar will be held by United States marshal In Salt Lake until the return of Judge Tilman D. Johnson from St, Paul, when it will be sold to the public at cost, according to tho officers. The Investigation which resulted In the seizure was started by Floyd T.
