Show I Service Men to Honor Mothers' Day, May 9 The local U. S. army recruiting office of-fice has received the following instructions in-structions from the war office with regard to the observance of Mothers' Day, May 9. "All department commanders, commanding officers and all chiefs of bureaus have been directed to bring tjo the attention of 'every officer and enlisted man to their commands the desire of the secretary of war that each officer and enlisted man write a letter to his homo on Mother's day.
