Show Woman Spellbinders Coached For Campaign NEW YORK, May 3. Tho "flying squadron" fit suffragists recruited from various states to invade Connecticut Connec-ticut tomorrow for a four-day campaign cam-paign in an-ef.fort to win it as the last state necessary for ratification, received re-ceived final instructions here fonight at a dinner given by Mrs. Carrie Chapman Chap-man Catt, president of the National Woman Suffrage association. The feminine spellbinders were coached carefully behind closed doors. ; The delegation starts for Hartford at S a. m. tomorrow. On Tuesday tho visitors will call on Governor Hoi-, combe, who thus far has refused to-call to-call a special session of the legislature, foi action on the suffrage amendment.' Mi-s. Edward Seward Simes of South Pasadena, Cal. and Mrs. James A. Devitt, pf Oskalopa, la.-, have let-jters let-jters from the govembrs'of their states addressed to Governor Holcombe. Mrs.' Devitt is a delegate at large to the Republican national convention. j Governor Stephens of California, in his letter urged Governor Holcombe to call an extra session, asserting that suffrage has worked satisfactory in California. The state is better in every way, he, wrote, because women have been given the right to participate in public affairs.
