Show PLUSHER GIVES DEMONSTRATION New Street Cleaner Arrives and Will Be Started at Work' Immediately. Ogden's new motor streot flushor made its initial appoaranco this morning in a demonstration before Mayor Frank Francis, members of the city commission, newspapermen and several prominent business men. At midnight tho now flushcr will go into "action" on tho city streets and hereafter here-after will bo worked day and night in its work of replacing tho three "water wagons" which have previously been In street sorvicc here. The new machine, a "Tiffin." is the most modern of all street flushing motors. It carries 1000 gallons of water and is provided with two gasoline gaso-line engines, one used for pumping and the other for propulsion, and has been purchased by tho city through the Sidney Stevens Implement company com-pany at a cost of $7000. A. IT. Keissel, factory man for the Tiffin Wagon company of Tiffin, Ohio, who brought tho flusher horc, gave this morning's demonstration. It is expected that a great saving to tho city will result from operation of tho now flusher, according to Chris Flygare, Fly-gare, superintendent of streets and parks. oo |
