Show Brigham City Society il Miss Emma Francis Stokes and Mr William D. Allred of this city were united in marriage Wednesday at the 1 home of the bride's parents, Mr. ana 1 Mrs. James Stokes, Judge H. M. Fig- I gins officiating. A wedding dinner ij was gtven the contracting parties in the evenng, and dancng and games were enjoyed by all present. 1 1 Mr and Mrs. R. L Fshburn, Mr. and Mrs. Mack Fisbburn and Miss Hope Fishburn of this city, and Mr. and Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Mack, Mr and Mrs. James Mack, and Mrs James Mack of Ogden are touring Yellowstone 1 park by auto this week. J On Monday afternoon Mr. and Mrs I C. P. Christensen and family met in 8 reunion at the Christensen home in honor of the return of their son, Mr. f Lars P. Christensen, who has beeii I absent from home some twenty years, A big family dinner waa the feature of the afternoon, and in the evening games and dancing were enjoyed by the family, those present being Mr. I and Mrs. C. P. Christensen, Mr. and Mrs. James Christensen, Mr. and Mrs. James Runkel, Mr. Fred Phillips and Mrs. J Christensen of Salt Lake, and Mr. Lars P. Christensen. Mr and Mrs. Adolph Madsen enter tained Friday evening at their home In the Third ward in honor of the recent re-cent mariage of Mr. and Mrs. Mai colm Jensen and Mr. and Mrs. Don I Jensen. The party was in the nature of a miscellaneous shower, the hon ored guests receiving many beautiful presents. The evening was spent In music and dancing and a tray lunch eon was served. Those present were Mesrs. and Mesdames Adolph Mad sen, Don I. Jensen, Malcolm Jensen, j M. B Olsen, Peter Knudson, James C. Jensen, C. W. Richards. Misses Phoebe, Phoe-be, Sevena and Daisy Madsen, Am. Bertha and Uarda J nsen, Morine and I 1 Ruth Olsen, Helen, Wanda and Villa dine Knudson, Naoma Faulkner, Me; dames Alice M. Johnson, Georginia Miller, Eliza Faulkner, Zina Anderson j Ephraini Jensen, Messrs. Melvin Stirling and Lorenzo Richards. Isaac j H Jensen, Max. Adolph. Reed and I I Carl Olsen, Glen Ray and Edwin An- I derson. Mr and Mrs Rudger Lund of Og den are visiting relatives in Brigham ' this week. Mr and Mrs. J. E. W Dunn and daugn j ter, Nadine, returned Sunday from their outing to Yellowstone park. Thursday evening the teachers i ihe Fir-t Intermediate class in the t'hird ward Sunday school entertained their pupils at a delightful outdoor party at the home of Miss Emma Stohl Games of various kinds were played and a dainty luncheon wa? I served. There were about forty-five 'children present Mr. and Mrs mot C Hatch assisted with the games. Thursday, Mr. and Mrs Percy C Knudson entertained in honor of theit ! first wed'ding anniversary. The dec orations were carried out in pink and ; white, the same color scheme being i followed in the luncheon Card games were played, musical numbers were ! rendered, aud a general good time j was enjoyed. There were thirty-twc present. As each guest departed, he or she was presented with a piece !of the wedding cake which, likewise, was one year old. . Mr. Heber Orme of Honeyville was a ; business visitor to Brigham City yes terday. Mr. L. S Pond went out to Blue Creek yesterday morning on some matters of business, returning home this afternoon. Mr. and Mrs A Lisle Eddy and children, Mr and Mrs. John H. Horse-lv Horse-lv and children, Mr. and Mrs. G. Stewart Horsley and baby have taken up their abode at Willowmere on their privately owned campsite. On Friday evening a big family partv was held on the lawn at the j home of Mr and Mrs. Adolph Madsen Mad-sen as a sort of reception to Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm M Jensen and Mr. and Mrs. Don I. Jensen, who were recently inaried. Outdoor games of various kinds were played and a sumptuous luncheon was partaken of. About thirty people participated. Mrs Etta M Pierce and son, Harvey, of Salt Lake City have been visiting relatives in this city during tlK past week Mr and Mrs. Joseph F Jensen went down to Salt Lake City on Monday ! for the purpose of having Mrs. Hansen thoroughly examined with a view of undergoing an operation for the cor-IrecUop cor-IrecUop of an old trouble. It v,as I tound that an operation will not be necessary, however, but Mrs. Hansen is at the L. D. S. hospital taking treatment for a number of weeks. Mr. and Mrs. A L. Stout and Mr. and Mrs W H. Stayner returned home Wednesday from their trip to Yellowstone park. Misses Virginia and Afton Forsgren returned from Salt Lake City Wedncs dav, where they have been for a month in order that Miss Virginia might study the late fall creations in Mr L S. Pond made a business trip to Salt Lake City yesterday. Mr and Mrs. N. C. Simonsen will leave for Yellowstone park on Sunday morning bv train. They expect to be away for a week.
