MARRIED AT COURT HOUSE Last Tuesday In The county court house occurred the wedding of Miss Eva Rex of this city and Ralph Olsen of Morgan. Utah The ceremony was performed by the clerk and the couple left for their honeymoon. The groom had just returned from overseas and had been home only six days. BAPTIST MISSIONARY SOCIETY The Woman's Missionary society of the First Baptist church will meet at the home of Mr? I. A. Smith, 2800 Madison avenue. Friday, June 13 at 2:30 o'clock when Mrs Smith and Mrs W. e. .Moore will be hostesses. This will be the annual meeting of the so-eiety so-eiety and the election of officers will be held after which a musical program will be given. All members are asked to be present. HOLDING ANNUAL MEETING The Utah Federaf;on of Colored Wo- men's clubs is in convention at the Embry M. E. church for two days this 'week, the first sessions being held ves- terday at 11 a ni . 2 p m and 7 p. m. This is the third pnniial meeting of the federation and a lart,- number of women are attending. Much of the time yesterday was devoted to a bus iness meeting and' bo;rd members were selected to serve during the en-.vuing en-.vuing year In ihe ufternoon, however ther was a display of fine needle work and art. the work of the women of the organization. Today the ladles are holding meetings at the same hours land all interested in the work are in jYited to be present. This evening at .eight o'clock there will be a fin? pro gram of entertainment provided and light refreshments will be served in jthe Wall avenue Baptist church. |
