Tawne tormer congressman of the first .Minnesota district and one time chairman of the house appropriations committee, died this morning at i o'clock at Excelsior Spring. Mo., according ac-cording to advices received by the fain; ily in this city. Death was due to arterial sclerosis. Mr. Tawney had been in ill health for several months.
