Show Federation Wants New Trial for Thomas Moonev ATLANTIC CITY, N. J . June 12 Among the resolutions now being considered con-sidered by the resolutions committee of the American Federation of Labor is one dealing with the Mooney case In this ii Is proposed that the federation federa-tion appoint a committee to take action intended to bring about a new trial for Mooney Should the committee fail it is provided that the federation submit to the International organization the question of calig s twenty-four hour strike in protect, the date to be determined de-termined later. Would Repeal Wartime Acts. T A ( M A, W ash , June 12 The central cen-tral labor council las', night passed a resolution that the council's delegates to the state labor convention presented a resolution calling for release of all political prisoners in the United States. The interpretation placed by the council on 'political' prisoners were all those convicted under federal fed-eral wartime acts. Another motion prevailed that resolutions reso-lutions be presented at the convention conven-tion demanding the repeal of all laws passed during the war which restricts speech, preus and assembly. |
