Show BIDS ARE OPENED FOR THE NEW COMFORT STATION New bids for the construction of i the comfort station o hr built by the, city at Twenty-fourth s'reet on the, northeast sid of in-' Washington avenue ave-nue intersection, were opened this morning by the city commissioners. After the bids were canvassed they were referred to the city engineer for Checking and a full r. port. In the bids received the lowest was that of the Ocdcn Mason Builders, for $9500. excepting ex-cepting the plumbing. With the plumbing included, the firm asked $11,600 for tho enlire Job. A bid on the plumbing was submitted by T. E Thomas for S2100, which would equal the amount for the same work included includ-ed in the Ogden i;i.,nn Builders' bid. namely the difference between JOjou and $11,600. Other bids were from George A. Whitmeyer & Sons, $9952. except plumbing; P E. Jensen $9675, except plumbing and hea'.ing A bid on the plumbing was suomitted by the Utahj Plumbing and Heating company for $2136 and one by HalverSon Brotherti lor $2145. While no official action was taken in the matter of a warding the con-tract con-tract it seems probable that It will go to the Ogden Mason Builders, and the! plumbing possibly to T. E. Thorn. is. |
