Show Passenger Fares To Be Advanced With Salaries WASHINGTON, Nov. 22 Wage increases in-creases were announced today by tho war labor board for Internrban trainmen' train-men' at Portland, Ore. Intorurban trainmen employed by the Portland Railway Light and Power company wore given a scale ranging from forty cents per hour for passenger brake-men brake-men to sixty cents per hour for night yard switch crews, with 54 dents an hour for passenger trainmen and 50 cents for freight train men. Extra work and overtime Is to be paid for at the rale of time nnd a half after ten hours. An examiner of the labor rJoard will bo kept at Portland to enforce tho board's award which takes effect as of July 17, 1918.
