Show -uu FROM OGDEN TO THE LAKE. For a number of years investigation and experiments have been conducted on Bear river, bav, an arm of Great Salt Lake, to determine whether oyster beds can bo established and successfully success-fully propagated, and now our state game warden announces that the experiment ex-periment is to be placed on a practical practi-cal basis and experts have given assurances as-surances that all the conditions are favorable. When Bear river bay is the scene of an oyster industry, Ogden should have a boulevard to the lake shore, and now is the time to begin to plan a highway to the edge of the lake. ! There should be. not only a road to the lake, but tho Southern Pacific ;should co-operate with Ogden in establishing es-tablishing a bathing resort and sanitarium sani-tarium on Promontory Point and in making possible the convoying of auto parties across the trestle. The lake could be made one of Og-den's Og-den's great attractions. What is necessary nec-essary is a resolve to build the boulevard boule-vard and obtain the Southern Pacific's assistance, and then proceed to make this ambitious program an accom-plished accom-plished fact. Ogden is in need of big dreams that may be realjzed. , j |
