Dealings were limited in volume but Included a variety of semi active specialties and utilities. Bethlehem Steel attracted further attention by its fluctuations between 435 and 415, closing clos-ing at the top price, a gain of 15 points. United States Steel was steady to firm and shippings were decidedly active and strong with 2 to 3 point! gains in marines, common and prefer-j red. Ohio Gas was temporarily higher i with an 8 point rise in Diamond Match,: 5 for Sears-Roebuck. 4 1-4 for Wool-1 worth and 4 1-4 for Homestake Mining. Changes among rails were trivial. Demand has been moderate, but has shown some improvement and it Is reported that the small lots of electrolytic recently offering at low prices have been well cleaned up.
